The bimetallic screw and cylinder is a high-performance core component set for plastic and rubber processing equipment, integrating advanced material technology and precision manufacturing processes. It consists of a bimetallic screw and a bimetallic cylinder, working synergistically to complete key processes such as conveying, melting, plasticizing, and extruding raw materials. Advanced Material Combination & Forming Technology:
The screw uses high-quality alloy steels like 38CrMoAlA (SACM645), 31CrMoV9 (1.8519), and 34CrAlNi7 (1.8550) as the base material. An advanced PTA (Plasma Transfer Arc) automated cladding technology is adopted to form a 2-3mm thick alloy layer on the surface. Compared with traditional manual coating, this technology ensures higher bonding strength, denser structure, and uniform alloy distribution, eliminating local defects.
The cylinder adopts a centrifugal casting process, with a 1.5-2.5mm thick special alloy sleeve precisely cast on the inner wall. This achieves seamless bonding between the alloy layer and the base steel, delivering outstanding wear, corrosion, and high-temperature resistance.
Superior Performance & Long Service Life: The alloy layer of the bimetallic screw and cylinder can contain up to 88% tungsten carbide (WC) (via HVOF supersonic thermal spraying for screws), significantly enhancing wear and corrosion resistance. Compared with conventional nitrided screws and cylinders, their service life is more than doubled, effectively reducing downtime and maintenance costs for equipment.

Key parameters such as screw diameter (15mm-800mm), length-diameter ratio (L/D=15-55), and compression ratio can be customized according to product formulas and material properties.
The screw offers diverse structural designs (gradient, barrier, venting, mixing, etc.) to adapt to the physical properties of different materials, ensuring uniform plasticization and stable extrusion quality.
It excels in processing special engineering materials such as glass fiber-reinforced plastics, fluoroplastics, and PPO, coping with complex and harsh working conditions.
