Bimetallic Extruder Barrel

The alloy extruder barrel is a high-performance core component tailored for extrusion processing, integrated with advanced material technologies and precision manufacturing processes. It works in tandem with screws to fulfill key procedures such as conveying, melting, plasticizing, and extruding plastic or rubber raw materials, delivering exceptional wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature stability to meet the demands of processing complex and high-abrasion materials.

Premium Alloy Material & Advanced Forming Technology: Adopts high-quality alloy steels like 38CrMoAlA (SACM645), 31CrMoV9 (1.8519), and 34CrAlNi7 (1.8550) as the base material. For bimetallic barrels, a special alloy layer (2-3mm thick for screws and 1.5-2.5mm for barrels) is precisely formed on the inner wall via processes such as centrifugal casting and PTA plasma welding. This ensures seamless bonding between the alloy layer and the base material, with the alloy layer boasting excellent wear, corrosion, and high-temperature resistance-doubling the service life compared to conventional nitrided barrels.

Diameter: Covers 15mm-800mm (adapting to different extrusion scales).

Length-Diameter Ratio (L/D): Ranges from 15-55 (optimized based on material plasticization requirements).

Compression Ratio: Tailor-made according to product formulas and material properties to enhance plasticizing efficiency and melt uniformity.

Superior Precision & Stability: Undergoes rigorous precision processing and heat treatment. The surface roughness reaches Ra 0.4μm, and straightness is controlled within 0.015mm/m, ensuring tight fit with screws and minimizing material residue. Nitriding treatment (hardness HV850-1000, nitriding depth 0.5-0.8mm) further improves surface hardness and wear resistance, guaranteeing stable performance during long-term high-load operation.

Strong Adaptability to Materials: Excels in processing special engineering plastics such as glass fiber-reinforced plastics, fluoroplastics, and PPO, as well as high-abrasion or corrosive raw materials. The optional HVOF supersonic thermal spraying technology (with up to 88% WC content in the coating) provides ultra-strong wear and corrosion resistance, addressing extreme processing challenges.
