Extruder Twin Screw Barrel

The screw is manufactured from high-quality 38CrMoAlA alloy steel and processed through an advanced nitriding and bimetallic alloy process. After hardening and tempering, the core hardness reaches HB 280–320. The working surface is reinforced with a bimetallic alloy layer of 0.8–2.0 mm in thickness, achieving an alloy hardness of HRC 50–65.

Following precision machining, the screw undergoes integral nitriding treatment, resulting in a nitrided surface hardness of HV 900–1000 with a nitrided case depth of 0.45–0.8 mm and a brittleness level of less than Grade 2. The finished screw features a surface roughness of Ra 0.4 μm and a straightness tolerance within 0.015 mm, ensuring excellent wear resistance, dimensional stability, and long service life.
This advanced process ensures excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and long service life under demanding extrusion conditions.
